In 2020 Mutua Universal’s preventive agenda focused almost exclusively on the design and rollout of measures aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19 and helping to control the transmission of the virus in the workplace.
Adapting preventive action to curb COVID-19 infection
All channels for contact and communication with companies adapted their services and content in order to disseminate good practices in relation to the prevention of the spread of the virus:
- Preventive actions: advisory actions on the implementation of measures established by the Ministry of Health
- Intercompany Technical Guidance Workshops: 233 workshops were held, 214 of which were carried out online. Of these, 87% were related to COVID-19.
- Design and dissemination of information about COVID-19: specific guides, recommendations for a safe return to work, and advice on hand washing, ventilation in the workplace and the use of personal protective equipment.

Addressing new needs: telework and emotional well-being
In response to the implementation of teleworking during the lockdown period and the the following months, Mutua Universal developed specific information on the prevention of occupational hazards in the workplace and at home. Furthermore, we also designed support materials for physical and emotional well-being in this new work environment.
