MILESTONES AND STRATEGY
Effective response
to the health crisis
In order to combat the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on our work, Mutua Universal developed its own contingency plan throughout 2020, which had an effect on all its areas of activity.
Principles of action
- Responsibility. Attending to companies and protected workers in our own healthcare centres in order to avoid them being referred to the Public Health Service and thereby contributing to prevent the Public Health Service from being overworked.
- Proximity. Constant monitoring and adaptation of the protocols of action, and to the protocols and the regulations of the autonomous communities.
- Coordination. Constant collaboration with companies in the sector and public administrations (state and regional healthcare departments), sharing action policies, health facilities, personnel and material supplies.
- Solidarity. Support for the Public Health Service, making healthcare facilities and equipment available wherever there were occasional shortfalls or saturation.
The three specific aims of the pandemic contingency plan were to protect Mutua Universal's workforce, to help prevent the collapse of the system and the spread of the virus, and to guarantee operations without disruption.
